Model Answer

I'd like to describe an important event in my life. I'd like to describe my graduation from high school.

This took place in 2010 and in my hometown. I live near my school and my father went to the school. My grandfather went to the school too and my mother taught there when I was young. It's important to my family. The graduation didn't happen at the school. It happened at the town hall. It's a beautiful, old building and it opens for special occasions.

My family were there. All of my friends from school were there. There were some important people from the town too. They made a speech and gave me the graduation certificate.

Finally, it was important to me for lots of different reasons. Firstly, my grandparents live in another town but they made the trip to see my graduation. I was surprised to see them. Secondly, I had extra tuition in my final year at school and it was very challenging for me. I felt really satisfied when I passed my exams. Finally, it was my birthday too, so I got lots of presents. It was one of the best days of my life.
