David: Hi, Leila! Where are you? We need to leave for the party soon. Leila: I'm on my way home - I'm still waiting for the bus. I was going to get a taxi back but I've just checked my phone and there's a bus due in about 15 minutes -7.50 pm to be exact. And it seems to be running on time. It left the railway station a couple of minutes ago, so it's not too far away.
David: Do you want me to pick you up? I've got the car, so it's no problem. Where's the bus stop exactly?
Leila: It's the one on Blythe Road.
David: Blythe Road? I'm just checking it on my phone. Is that B-L-Y-T-H?
Leila: There's an e at the end of Blythe.
David: Got it. OK, I won't be long.
Leila: Actually, David - no need to pick me up. The traffic lights have just changed and I can see the bus coming now. I'd better go - I'll see you at home in a few minutes. |
