Qualifying language

Academic writing often uses language that is not definite or strong. For example:
The results seem to show that women have lower literacy levels than men in most countries. (not 'The results clearly show')
There appears to be a relationship between literacy Level and income. (not 'There is an obvious relationship')
Testimonials don't appear to influence customers. (not 'Testimonials don't influence customers')

If you use this kind of language when summarising the information in your overview, you will improve your IELTS band.

Reword these sentences using the word in brackets. The first one has been done for you.
