When talking about something you did as a habit in the past (that you no longer do now), use used to plus the base form of the verb. Example: We used to go to the movies and clubs. (We no longer do that.) In the negative, use didn’t and use to. (No d on use!) Correct Example: You didn’t use to go grocery shopping . . . Not: You didn’t used to go grocery shopping . . .
