Mindset for IELTS - Level 1 (Unit 07: Fame And The Media)


In Speaking Part 3, the examiner will ask you some general questions about the topic you have been speaking about. These might ask you to do certain things, for example explain something or compare something. 
It is important to listen carefully to the examiner's questions so that you understand what he/she is asking you to do.

I think that people used to be famous more for what they did rather than who they were or what they looked like.

Charity work seems like it could be a good idea. Most famous people earn a lot of money and it would begreat if they could give some of that money to help others.

I think we will see more normal people like you or me becoming famous over the internet. Anyone can upload a video now and get millions of views.

If you are famous you can make a lot of money and be given a lot of free things to advertise. On the other hand, it might be difficult to do normal things, like go shopping in the supermarket.

Well, I think that there are maybe too many celebrity TV shows and magazines these days, so that might be true.
