Please consider the following information when planning your corporate picnic.

RESERVING SITES: The Hanlon County Department of Parks and Recreation oversees three corporate picnic sites: at Remy Park, Queens Park, and River Front Park. Each site includes picnic tables, benches, as well as barbecues, and sports equipment is offered for rental. Corporate picnic sites can be reserved up to a year in advance by calling 98 645-8017. Our sites are available for reservations on weekends only, from April to September. Your reservation is not confirmed until payment is made in full. (See the fee schedule by clicking here.)

CATERING: Food vendors providing services in a public park must be on the Approved Vendor List.

IMPORTANT-REFUND POLICY: Effective May 1, we have revised our refund policy. Any company canceling a reservation sixty days or more prior to the reservation date will be refunded the entire amount. Any cancellation request received between thirty and sixty days prior to the reservation date will receive a refund of 50% of the reservation fee. There will be NO refund in the event of a cancellation less than 30 days prior to the reservation date.

Hello.

I have a question about the new refund policy for corporate picnic reservations. Two months ago, I reserved the site at Queens Park for June 16 and paid the full amount, including rental fees (total $600). For a variety of reasons, my company decided today to cancel the picnic. I was unaware of the new policy until now, since at the time I made the reservation, full refunds were offered until thirty days before the event. Does the new policy apply in this case? What kind of refund can we expect?

Dear Ms. Moran,

I'm sorry to hear that you have to cancel your event. Fortunately, though, our new policy only applies to reservations made on or after May 1. Your reservation was made long before that, so the old policy still applies in your case.

To make the cancellation official, please go to hanlonparks.gov/corporatepicnics and submit the cancellation request form. Once you have done that, your refund should be processed and your credit card refunded within three business days. If there's anything else I can help you with, please don't hesitate to ask.
